MUN - 'Drishti 2020 and Beyond'

 Podar International school CBSE Nerul conducted  MUN as a part of the 'Drishti 2020 and Beyond' .

Drishti is a competition, held each year by Podar International School CBSE Nerul, to commemorate the birth anniversary of our late President APJ Abdul Kalam. We pay a humble tribute to this legend by dedicating this competition to him
This year we organized an interclass MUN Conference on- Infectious diseases threats in the 21st Century:  Strengthening the Global Response. 
The committee was WHO and  50 participants joined the conference as delegates of different countries and discussed the issue with an earnest desire to find a global solution. It involved classes 7th to 9th. The competition was Chaired by Miss Anushka Mazumdar and  Co Chaired by  Miss Anjali Sanu, both avid MUNers, who guided the students throughout the Conference as this is the first MUN organized by our school.
The following students received awards for their performance- 
Best delegate- Abhinav Meher (Cuba) 8F
High Commendation - Zunnairah Khan (Italy) 8C
Special Mentions ( in no particular order) - Madhav (Cuba) 8F
Aaradhya Sharma (New Zealand) 9D
Navya Shrivastava (Taiwan) 9D
Satwik Mishra (China) 8D
Tanishka Chawla (China)8D 
A competition for the best Position Paper was also included.

Robotics | V & VI | VII & VIII

Robotics programs for middle school students facilitate science and math learning inside the classroom. Students are able to understand the concepts of tension and force when they choose the materials used in the robot. PIS CBSE Nerul conducts Robotics classes every Saturday. These classes are being mentored by three young and enthusiastic mentors - Shaan Mukherjee, Rahil Shah & Krish Narrotam . Students of Grades 6,7 & 8 participate enthusiastically and are always looking forward to learning something new in every session.
